Did you know that you are probably storing your garlic and onions all wrong? If you want them to last and stay fresh for longer, there is a super easy trick you can use.
You are going to end up saving so much money on spoiled produce you are going to wonder how you never knew this before!
Materials Needed:
- Onions and garlic that are firm
- Paper lunch bags
- A hole punch
- Paper clips
Directions:
Fold the paper bag in half length wise.
Use a hole punch to add holes all along the bag about 1 inch apart from each other.
Label the bag so you know what it is.
Fill the bags half way full and then fold down the top and secure with a paperclip.
The air will circulate better around the onions and garlic and help it last longer. Keep in a cool dry place and they can last for a couple months!
Tip: Don't store with potatoes, as they give off gasses that accelerate the spoiling of the onions.
