Anytime I have a party or get together, I have to make a dip. Even if it's just to keep appetites satisfied until dinnertime, there is such a variety when it comes to dip choices.
This Bacon Cream Cheese Bread Dip is a surefire winner. To get ours to the perfect warmth for serving, we used this beautiful Staub Gratin Dish - it's the perfect size for a dip or dinner for two. Between the creamy texture, salty bacon, and cheese galore, you and your guests will love dipping in some toasted baguette slices!
Ingredients:
- 8 slices of bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 3 green onions diced
- 1/2 teaspoon horseradish sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Combine all ingredients and mix well using a rubber spatula.
Transfer to a shallow baking dish (about 9x9) and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly on top.
For the bread, we used baguette slices - cut 1/2 inch slices and brush one side of each slice with a small amount of olive oil, then broil in the oven for just a minute or two on a baking sheet until toasted.
Dip and enjoy!
