While Hollywood is rampant with new revelations of sexual abuse, other victims are speaking up to reaffirm their stories of harassment and assault.
One of these that hits close to home are the claims of molestation from Dylan Farrow, the daughter of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen. It is particularly harrowing as the abuser she is calling out, is her father.
She first brought up the charges in 1992, saying that the director touched her inappropriately when she was just seven-years-old. Now 32, she wants to reassert her claims in the hopes that this new climate of support will help her find peace.
"Why shouldn't I want to bring him down? Why shouldn't I be angry? Why shouldn't I be hurt?" she said to the camera. "Why shouldn't I feel some sort of outrage that after all these years, being ignored and disbelieved and tossed aside..."
The charges are serious, and it was tough for Dylan to bring them up even all these years later...
Dylan's mother, Mia Farrow, has supported her daughter through all of this, and was herself disgusted with the way Woody Allen cheated on her with her other daughter, Soon-Yi Previn.
Mia had found evidence of a sexual relationship between Previn and Allen, and they divorced soon after.
Dylan claims that at around the same time, Allen behaved inappropriately towards her.
According to her story, when they were alone together he would stick his thumb in her mouth, and make her climb into bed with him in his underwear and "would place his head in my naked lap and breathe in and breathe out."
Allen has always denied the allegation, but other celebrities who dismissed it before are now taking it seriously.
Amid the wave of allegations, many celebrities are donating the funds they made from his movies to charities or towards the legal costs of other stars launching sexual assault lawsuits.
"I am credible and I am telling the truth and I think it's important that people realize that one victim, one accuser, matters. And that they are enough to change things," she said.
