If you think one period is bad enough, imagine having two - from two separate vaginas.
In BBC3's newest documentary, The Woman With Two Vaginas: Living Differently, Nicci opens up about her rare condition and all the struggles she faced because of it.
She describes how the condition caused her intolerable pain and incredibly heavy periods that required her to wear adult diapers just to contain the bleeding.
It wasn't evident that she had two wombs, two vaginas and two cervixes until she was a teenager. In the documentary, she explains that it was discovered when she was 17 and her periods were just not the same as the other girls' her age.
It turns out that her vaginal opening was completely normal, but then it funneled up and split into a Y-shape with two vagainal canals.
When hormone treatments didn't help, she was forced to have a hysterectomy.
Her condition put a strain on her relationships with friends and boyfriends.
She said: "Some guys view you as a trophy and a goal when they find out, like: "˜I had sex with a girl with two vaginas'. "I felt like a freak of nature."
Now, she is happily married to the man she met 19 years ago in High School. Although the couple tried to have children, they suffered three miscarriages as a result of her condition.
Not able to take the pain and disappointment any longer, Nicci reveals that she chose to have a double hysterectomy.
According to the World Health Organization, the condition occurs in about one in 3,000 women in the world.
