This is so cool! Watermelon Vodka Shots definitely have that "wow" factor that will amaze your friends, while at the same time being super simple to make. Definitely a win-win recipe in my books!

You can make these without alcohol for a fun kids' party treat, and make sure to save the scooped out watermelon for snacking on later - it's delish! We used vodka in ours, but you can experiment with different kinds of liquor and flavors of jello. Have fun and enjoy responsibly!

Ingredients

1 watermelon

Red Layer

1 cup hot water

Strawberry jello package

1 cup strawberry vodka

Blue Layer

1 cup hot water

Blue raspberry jello package

1 cup blue raspberry vodka

Yellow Layer

1 cup hot water

Lemon jello package

1 cup citrus vodka

Directions

Cut your watermelon in half and scoop out the insides (save for snacking on later).

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_02_23-Still008.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_02_23-Still008_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_02_23-Still008_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_02_23-Still008_GH_content_750px.jpg 750w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

Combine the hot water, strawberry jello and strawberry vodka.

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_12_18-Still013.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_12_18-Still013_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_12_18-Still013_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_12_18-Still013_GH_content_750px.jpg 750w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

Pour the mixture into the hollowed out watermelon.

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_17_08-Still014.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_17_08-Still014_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_17_08-Still014_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/760-00_00_17_08-Still014_GH_content_750px.jpg 750w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

Place the watermelon in the fridge to let the jello set (2 hours).

Repeat these steps for the blue and yellow layers.
