Just so you know, Shared may collect a share of sales or other compensation from some of the links on this page. However, we only choose products we would or have purchased ourselves.
If there's one group of people who know how to scrimp and save every last penny, it's parents.
Of course having an extra mouth to feed makes everything in life cost that much more, so parents naturally become thrifty and learn to wait for sales.
For all of you moms and dads looking to save a buck this week, Walmart has a deal you won't want to miss.
The store is debuting a new sale on Saturday, February 23 called Baby Savings Day. The event promises great deals on all kinds of necessities for young kids, including cribs, strollers, baby monitors, breast pumps, and more.
But you'll have to plan your day to make the most of your trip - the event only last between 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
While Walmart has not published a lot of information about the event, about 3,000 of its 3,570 Supercenter locations are taking part in Baby Savings Day, so it should be easy to find a sale near you. [You can check using this complete list of participating locations.]
There are other benefits aside from the great deals too. Participating stores will have experts on hand to talk about baby gear, with product demonstrations and advice for new parents.
Some locations will even have law enforcement on hand to help prepare child safety ID kits with information on their appearance and fingerprints.
In case you don't want to wade through the tide of parents in person, you can get great deals from Walmart's website, where the Baby Savings event is already up and running.
You can save up to 30% off must-have products from the website until the end of February. Not all of the deals available on store are up on the website (and vice versa) but shopping from the comfort of your home makes it worthwhile.
Deals featured on the website right now include a Graco DuetConnect baby swing for $50 off the original price, a Graco Relay Click Connect jogging stroller at a $120 discount, and a Signature Pro electric breast pump for $61.24.
Whether you're a parent, aunt or uncle, grandparent, or just looking to save a little money on your next baby shower gift, this new shopping holiday seems like a great opportunity.
