Nothing could be further from the truth," wrote Kilmer. </p><p><!-- [invalid-shortcode] --></p><p>Six months after that status update, Kilmer finally admitted that he was diagnosed with cancer but he insists that he is improving and "healing all the time."</p><p>The 57-year-old made the shocking admission during a <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/67qzrx/hello_reddit_i_am_actor_and_artist_val_kilmer_i/">Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA)</a> session last week. </p><div><amp-instagram height="1" width="1" layout="responsive" data-captioned="" data-shortcode="BTXQTxkApms"></amp-instagram></div><p><!-- [invalid-shortcode] --></p><p>"A while ago, Michael Douglas claimed you had terminal cancer," a Reddit user asked. "What was the story behind that?"</p><p>"He was probably trying to help me cause press probably asked where I was these days, and I did have a healing of cancer, but my tongue is still swollen altho[sic] healing all the time," Kilmer answered. "Because I don't sound my normal self yet people think I may still be under the weather."</p><p>Despite his health setback, Kilmer is currently promoting his new film "Cinema Twain," which tells the story of author Mark Twain's life. </p><p>Wishing him a speedy recovery! </p><p></p></div>
