The internet is going wild after a Twitter user, @TheReal_JDavis, shared a strange video about a flock of turkeys and a dead cat.
The bizarre 24-second clip shows over a dozen wild turkeys circling a dead cat on a street in Boston.
In true Netizen fashion, speculations about a possible cause for this weird incident began to fill up Twitter.
One user claims that the turkeys are holding a funeral for the dead feline.
This guy is sure that this is a sign of doomsday.
A few people are convinced that this has something to do with the occult.
Others chalk it up to the nature of the birds
If none of the these reasons float your boat, then you'll be relieved to know that there is a possible scientific explanation for this sort behavior.
The turkeys could be performing a "predator inspection," according to Alan Krakauer, a University of California biologist.
In an email to The Verge, Krakauer explains that this behavior is a way of scaring away a predator, and it also "allows the prey to check how determined the predator is to attack, and can alert other animals to the danger."
However, this explanation would've made more sense had the cat been alive and posed a threat. So for now, you may have to come up with your own conclusion.
