Acupressure is a natural way of treating your pain that's similar to acupuncture, but doesn't require any needles. It's a very effective and easy way to relieve pain ranging from headaches, bloating, nausea and sore throats. Next time you're feeling under the weather, give these acupressure tricks a try!
General Pain Relief
For overall pain relief press firmly (but not too hard as to cause pain) on your hand between your thumb and pointer finger.
Reduce Bloating
For issues with bloating, massage about 1/3 up the top of your forearm using your thumb.
Upset Stomach and Nausea
To relieve an achy tummy, place three fingers on the inside of your wrist. Place your thumb in the location of your finger the furthest from your hand and massage.
Sore Throat and Fever
If you've come down with a cold or flu, bend your elbow and using your thumb massage the point where your arm bends (in the fleshy part just above the elbow joint).
Lower Back Pain and Digestion
Place your four fingers on the inside of your ankle (above your ankle bone) going up the inside of your leg. Place your thumb in the location of your finger furthest from your ankle and massage.
Fatigue and Loss of Concentration
Find the spot on your foot between your big toe and second toe. Move your thumb about 1.5-2 inches back from that point and massage.
