John Travolta was undoubtedly a heartthrob in his prime, and honestly he still is! The Grease star captured our hearts with his singing, dancing, and overall charm. If all of us were in love with him, then what was it like working with him? That charm must have been extra-strong in person!
Kirstie Alley has already admitted that if she wasn't married, she would have 100% married Travolta, who she co-starred with in Look Who's Talking. When she was on Celebrity Big Brother, Alley opened up not only about how she still loves Travolta, but also what their wedding would have been like.
“I almost ran off and married John,” she said. “I did love him. I still love him. If I hadn’t [have] been married, I would have gone and married him.”
Alley made it clear what her priorities were, too.
“It would have been in an airplane,” she said. “Because he has his own. And let me tell you girls, it doesn’t seem like it’s important that someone has a private jet, but it is. As you get older, you do not want to hang out in airports.”
Even though she said she loved Travolta, Alley also admitted that a lot of it probably comes from being so close to them all the time when filming a movie.
“When you get on the road and you’re doing a movie, it’s very easy to fall in love with your leading man,” she confessed. “For a year, you’re around this person. … It’s just hard, I think.”
Now, Travolta has also added fuel to the fire when asked about being a part of the Look Who's Talkin' reboot that was recently announced. He said that as long as Alley is involved, he's on board.
“She’s my soulmate,” he teased. “It’s been 30 years [since Look Who’s Talkin’], but it was this morning that I even learned it’s been 30 years. I didn’t know that. I would do anything with Kirstie. So let’s see what happens.”
When Travolta and Alley were filming, she was married to Baywatch star Parker Stevenson. Travolta wasn't yet married, but two years later he did wed Kelly Preston, to whom he's still married. I don't think I could really see Alley and Travolta together, personally. But I guess things could have turned out differently if they had gotten together back in the day!
