This Tiny Home Can Be Built By A Robot In Less Than A Day, And It's Super Cheap

New Story / ICON / YouTube

When the first The Sims computer game came out, my whole family was addicted to building and customizing their dream home.

Then we learned about tiny homes, so it's safe to assume that these adorable homes are our newest favorite obsession.

But once we heard about how difficult it is to actually build one of these houses, we felt a bit discouraged.

Also, buying one of these homes can be costly, especially if you're looking for something decent.

A homebuilding startup company is revolutionizing the way we look at our living spaces, and it may just make you want to buy one of them now!

ICON is using a 3D-printing robot to help with cutting the costs of building one of these homes and making the process so much faster than what it would take for a professional to finish a small house.

The robot can print many essential parts of a 650-square-foot model, like the walls, roof, and floor in half a day! The rest of the home will be assembled by a worker.

Their goal is to build these tiny homes in countries where many can't afford a decent living space.

Check out how amazing this home looks, inside and out! It's amazing how all this can be done in just a day's work, and you'll never guess just how much this place costs...

The Patio

This tiny home has a bigger patio than my suburban home! The curved porch can be great for big parties.

The Living Room

Despite being a tiny home, the living room appears to be quite spacious. If you put a small sectional on the far right side of room, it will open up a lot of space.

The Bedroom

If this bedroom can fit a plant and a double bed with some extra room to spare, there's nothing to complain about. Instead of a plant, you could probably put a dresser.

The Office

The office is right beside the living room. The best part about this extra space is that you can turn it into whatever you like.

This tiny home seems to be lacking a kitchen, so you'd probably have to sacrifice this little bit of space to store your food, (that is if you decide to live in it).

The Bathroom

Tiny home bathrooms are usually as small as an aircraft lavatory, so this one is definitely a bit too spacious.

I wonder if the company is open to allowing people to customize their tiny home. I'm sure that will be a future possibility, since they're just getting started.

The Cost!

Now that you've finally seen the inside and outside of this awesome 3D-printed home, we'll tell you what the company is selling them for.

ICON says they can print this entire home for only $10,000, but they want to be able to bring costs down to as little as $4,000!

They're also looking to make bigger models!
