Like most parents, Ashley Jordan dreads her shopping trips to Walmart. With three young girls to shop for and only one paycheck (she's a stay at home mom) just buying 2 weeks worth of food and some new clothes can be expensive.

Plus, she and her husband Michael had their fussy 1-year-old daughter Kinseigh with them. And Ashley says she doesn't even like to shop at Walmart, because the staff are often rude to her.

So she was shocked last week when her cashier helped pay for half of her grocery bill.

<amp-youtube height="9" width="16" layout="responsive" data-videoid="ZarWfmPEQ0Q"></amp-youtube>

Jordan wrote that the cashier, whose name is Sharnique Dasant, never asked her about money. She just made small talk about Jordan's big family while scanning her items, then said the Jordans looked like they needed "a blessing." She walked around the counter and paid for half of the couple's $200 bill.

In a Facebook post later that night, Jordan asked "how could this woman who didn't even know me, know our situation, know us, why would she do this?"

<amp-facebook data-href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1030132813758636&set=a.190307977741128.34264.100002857821089&type=3&theater" layout="responsive" height="600" width="640"></amp-facebook>

For Dasant, the answer was simple. The cashier spoke with a local news station about her act of kindness and said that God told her to help the couple pay their bill.

Whatever inspired her, Jordan says she was "blown away" by her generosity, and she'll be bringing her other daughters to meet Sharnique soon.

Share this story if you believe there are still good people in this world!
