Summer is almost here, which means millions of Americans are going to be having a ton of fun in the sun. Picnics, barbecues, and of course water slides.
I'm sorry in advance for water slide fans, because this video might make you think twice about taking that slippery slide.
A man from Texas posted a video to his Facebook that many of us don't want to see. He did what so many do to get out of the heat, hit the water. It was a decision he'd come to regret.
"Too dang old to be going down water slides. Fell off this one that is over a rocky cliff," he wrote on the Facebook post. "First time in an abulance. I'm currently in hospital."
The slide was attached to a friend's home overlooking Lake Travis, near Austin, Texas. It's not known if the owner has since removed the slide.
You can see the dramatic fall here:
In the end Salmon is lucky to be alive. He escaped with "only" a broken arm and broken ribs. He had numberous cuts and bruises, but didn't require surgery or even stitches. Considering that the water slide was built over a rocky cliff, he's lucky to be alive.
"I could have easily broken my neck or my back. This could have been way worse," he said.
