This crazy football field looking dip tray is the perfect centerpiece for your game day buffet! This may be the best Superbowl themed snack food we've ever seen... seriously. This cheese, salsa and guacamole spread serves up the entire football field, complete with players, end zones, uprights and all!
This thing is just too adorable, not to mention delicious! My favorite part is the little carrot-stick players with their tiny olive helmets - they're just so cute! This dish is sure to delight the crowd at any football fiesta!
Ingredients:
- Guacamole
- Salsa
- Cheese dip
- Sour cream
- Mustard
- Cocktail sausage
- Baby carrots
- Black and green olives
- Pretzel sticks
- White chocolate (for "gluing" the pretzel sticks)
- 2 piping bags with #1 and #2 tips
Directions:
In a large serving dish, fill the center with guacamole and the ends with salsa and cheese dip, creating the outline for a field and two end zones.
Fill a piping bag with sour cream and use a #2 tip to create the lines on the field. Make a line where the field and the end zones meet.
To make the football, take a miniature sausage and a couple little strips of shredded cheese. Fill a piping bag with sour cream and draw the laces on the football.
To make the football players, use a paring knife to trim the olives into the shape of a helmet and gently press them onto the end of a baby carrot until they are secure. Use a piping bag of mustard with tip #1 to draw a face mask onto each carrot. Once the players are assembled, you can start placing them on the field.
Finally for the goal posts, melt a few morsels of white chocolate in the microwave until they begin to soften. Use the white chocolate to secure the 4 pretzel sticks in the shape of a goalpost. Let the goalposts dry for about ten minutes on wax paper, then add them to the field.
Serve with tortilla chips, veggies, and whatever other fixings you like!
