Last week, the world was shocked to hear about an attack in Stockholm, Sweden involving a hijacked truck.
Four people lost their lives and more than a dozen were inured when the attacker drove into a crowd, but one victim was forgotten in the aftermath of the attack: a dog named Iggy.
An Irish charity named Dogs Aid heard that one of the rescued strays they relocated to Sweden was killed in the attack, and didn't waste any time making a memorial for him at the scene of the crime.
The simple gesture let others visiting the memorial know that a dog lost his life in the attack, and soon more people were bringing flowers, candles, toys and dog treats for Iggy.
Very few of us know what it feels like to lose a loved one in an attack like this, but almost everyone knows how painful it can be to say goodbye to a pet.
Maybe that's why so many people joined together to build this memorial so quickly. Hopefully, wherever Iggy is he realizes how loved he was.
