We've all seen a fair share of non traditional and dare I say, weird weddings over the years. Every couple has a unique vision for their big day and nobody wants to have the same theme as another. Needless to say, there have been times when an attempt to have a "different" celebration raises some questions but sometimes it can turn out quite beautiful.
Back in November 2016, a couple had their dream nuptials become reality in the middle of the Caribbean Sea and it looked breathtakingly amazing!
Susana Zamos and Jovany tied the knot on the El Cielo sandbar (only accessible by boat) off the coast of Cozumel Mexico, surrounded by a 100 of their closest friends and family.
The ceremony wasn't a spur of the moment idea. The bride is a scuba diver and she was always around water when she was growing up. The happy couple had always wanted to get married in water but they struggled to find a planner who was willing to bring their vision to life.
We had a wedding planner who told us, "˜No, you can't get married in the ocean, it's far too complicated,'" the bride said. "So I said, okay, he's right. We'll just get married on the beach like everyone else and that'll be it."
Lucky for them, Sol Tamargo and her Del Sol Photography team were willing to give it a shot and as you can see the photos turned out fantastic!
Tamargo admitted that shooting the wedding was no easy feat, "I was shooting from the boat, then I jumped into the water wearing a snorkel, mask and wetsuit and mermaid cap in the middle of a wedding!" the photographer said. "When do you ever get to do something like that?" she added.
It seems like a wonderful experience was had by all. This is a wedding that will surely be talked about for ages! Check out some more photos and the video of the celebration:
