Magnesium is stress-reducing, sleep-promoting and contributes to overall heart and bone health. This mineral can be found in meat, squash, cashews, almonds, legumes and dark leafy greens. Magnesium Citrate Lemon Gummies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 5 tbsp of magnesium citrate powder (we used Natural Vitality)
  • 3 tbsp of gelatin powder
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Put the fresh squeezed lemon juice in a saucepan and stir in the magnesium citrate powder. The ingredients will foam together.

Add the gelatin and move the saucepan to the stove on medium heat. Mix in the honey, and salt. Stir until the mixture reduces to approximately 3/4 of a cup.

Once reduced, carefully pour the mixture into a silicone mold. The mix will thicken due to the gelatin so you'll need to smooth it into the mold using a spatula.

Allow the gummies to set in the fridge for at least 40 minutes. Pop them out of the silicone molds and store them in an airtight container or mason jar. Take 2 gummies a day.

We used flavorless Natural Vitality magnesium powder but you can also try different kinds of magnesium citrate to flavor your gummies differently. Natural Vitality makes a lemon raspberry powder that works well.
