Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has legions of fans around the world. They've stood by him through good movies and bad movies, divorces and child births. He's not usually a controversial figure, but he just waded into a hot topic that might change how some people feel about him.
Pizza toppings.
The Rock, notorious for his gigantic appetite and cut physique, shared a post on Instagram that would be enough to make anyone jealous.
"Glorious text from my strength and conditioning coach," he wrote. "DJ, (Dwayne Johnson) need a mid week carb up for your big scenes tomorrow. Eat a pizza and send me your pics in the morning."
First, we'll ignore that no trainer or coach has ever told me to eat a pizza, and that's just not fair. What really caught people's eye was what Johnson put on his pizza.
"As for my toppings - keep in mind, I'm the guy who likes to put tequila and brown sugar in my oatmeal, so pineapple on pizza is MY JAM - with ham."
Et tu Rock?
Pineapple and ham on pizza is called a Hawaiian pizza, so it might be natural that the Moana star likes it, but it was actually invented by a Canadian. It is possible the most controversial pizza ever made. Iceland's president once said that if he could pass any law without getting in trouble, he would ban it.
Gordon Ramsay once famously dissed (note: the link goes to a video that contains foul language) the pizza topping on TV, and commented "I think we all know my thoughts on pineapple pizza."
Of course people are entitled to any opinions, even wrong ones, and many pro-pineapple pizza people took to social media to support The Rock's mistake.

One person said it even qualifies him to be president.
I don't ever repost people, but @TheRock is pro pineapple on pizza. And well... he just earned my vote in 2020 to become the next president of the United States.#therock #pizza #pineapple #pineapplepizza #voteordie #canyousmellwhattherockiscooking #ballin pic.twitter.com/Re5lqMUw9r

The Rock is currently trying to get in shape (can I even say that, I mean just look at the guy) for his upcoming Fast & Furious spin off Hobbs and Shaw. We can hope the movie will be better than his pizza tastes.
