Since 2009, we've seen the trials and tribulations of a group of young women as they go through teenage pregnancy and raising their child at such a young age.
Catelynn Baltierra was one of 16 and Pregnant's breakout stars and was the only one to give her child up for adoption.
Once her episode had aired, she and her childhood sweetheart Tyler Baltierra were invited to appear on its vastly popular spin-off show, Teen Mom.
Although Catelynn and Tyler's initial storylines didn't involve the pair raising a newborn, they were involved in plenty of drama involving their dysfunctional family and relationship with their biologically daughter Carly's adoptive parents.
But in 2015, the couple welcomed daughter Novalee Reign into the world, and are going through the process of raising a toddler.
However, Novalee won't be the only child in the Baltierra household for long, as Catelynn has announced she and Tyler are expecting baby number three.
"The big news is that we are expecting our rainbow baby. This baby is our rainbow after the storm. I'm super excited," Catelynn said in an interview with Us Weekly.
"It was a huge shock at first. We were not planning it, especially after the miscarriage and how I went downhill with my mental illness."
"We were going to wait a really long time. We were using protection and everything and still got pregnant. This baby just wanted to be here. It was very unexpected."
A rainbow baby is an infant born after a miscarriage, stillborn, or neonatal death.
"We just sat in the bed and cried and just held each other. I mean, there's nothing you can really do, so it felt very similar to Carly," Tyler said.
"I mean, Carly's a little different, because we have to"”we get to see her every year, but it's a loss, and you feel it. Like, I feel like you process it as a loss. So I guess it's something I didn't really understand before."
Following her second pregnancy, Catelynn experienced postpartum depression, and has expressed her fears of the illness returning.
"I've definitely been thinking about it and that's the one thing that's holding me back, honestly," she told PEOPLE. "Especially because they say if you've had postpartum once, you have a higher chance of getting it with your next."
"With Nova, I thought it was severe because I struggled with anxiety already and panic attacks and depression," Catelynn continued. "So that is definitely the thing that scares me the most. I want to have a big family and have a lot of kids, but it's scary. It's definitely scary."
In January, Catelynn announced she would be entering treatment for suicidal thoughts following a miscarriage, which was documented in a February episode of MTV's hit docuseries.
"Well they say third times a charm... I'm going back to treatment people for 6 weeks to work on my trauma and getting on different meds," Catelynn tweeted in January. "THANK YOU @TylerBaltierra I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!! You are my light!! And nova you are my sunshine #KeepTalkingMH."
We're wishing Catelynn and Tyler all the best as they prepare for the latest addition to their family.
