Sometimes it doesn't take much to make a difference in someone's life. One North Carolina educator is proving this in an unexpected but amazing way.

John Sigmon, a teacher at Southeast Middle School in Kernersville is known among the school community for his bright-colored hair. No, he isn't jumping on the millennial pink bandwagon, he is actually doing it for a wonderful cause.

The sixth grade teacher is dying his hair a different color every week to help a child in need.

See, Sigmon is trying to raise money to buy a service dog for 6-year-old Warren Van Tassel, a first grader who suffers from epilepsy. Warren was diagnosed with the disorder since he was 15 months old and because of the seizures, he needs a service dog to help him through episodes.

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/06/pink-20hair-206_1495145381400_9498293_ver1-0.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/06/pink-20hair-206_1495145381400_9498293_ver1-0_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/06/pink-20hair-206_1495145381400_9498293_ver1-0_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/06/pink-20hair-206_1495145381400_9498293_ver1-0_GH_content_750px.jpg 750w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>
WCNC

Unfortunately, these dogs are expensive to obtain and Warren's family can't afford the $15,000 price tag.

In order to make sure Warren gets a dog sooner than later, Sigmon got his class involved in the cause.
