We've all heard lots of rag-to-riches stories about people who were down on their luck and stumbled onto something incredible, but these uplifting stories can happen to animals too.
Leeloo the cat was homeless, living on the streets of Saint Petersburg, Florida until the Friends of Strays animal shelter found her. While Leeloo was shy, the shelter's owner says that 10 minutes after they brought her inside she was purring in her lap.
That friendly attitude helped her land what would be anyone's dream job, traveling around the world on a sailing ship as a guest of honor.
The tall ship Lynx is a historical ship modeled after one from the war of 1812. It sails up and down America's East Coast teaching people about history and sailing. It even makes trips as far away as Hawaii and Mexico.
And while it does, Leloo gives the crew - who have nicknamed her "the Admiral" - the love and affection they're missing from their families.
Leeloo sleeps in the captain's cabin with Peacock and spend most of her day getting into trouble on deck. There are no rats or mice on the ship, so there's not much work for her to do.
It sounds like a cushy life, but it took some adjusting for a cat who grew up on dry land. Peacock says when she first came on board the Lynx, she would whine so loud dolphins would follow the ship around.
Lynx has a new crew member! Leeloo was adopted from a rescue centre to be part of the Captain's after guard. She even talks to dolphins!
