If you've been waiting for an excuse to turn on the waterworks today, this video could be just what you're looking for.
It begins with Cydney Cooper, a mom of four from Topeka, Kansas who gave birth to her new pair of twin girls, Emma and Kyla, earlier this month.
Cydney's husband, Staff Sgt. Skyler Cooper, was not at her side for the delivery because he was deployed with the Kansas Army National Guard in Kuwait, and not due to return home until later this year.
Or so Cydney thought.
While Cydney was visiting one of her newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit, with the baby girl in her arms, Skyler walked in behind them and gave her the surprise of her life.
Cydney had no clue the heartwarming reunion was in store, and in fact you can see her texting her husband just as he walks in the room.
The stunned wife broke down in tears as Skyler took her in his arms.
Skyler later revealed how fate intervened to arrange the special moment. When Cydney became sick, and needed an emergency c-section 33 weeks into her pregnancy, his battalion commander made arrangements to send Skyler back home.
"It was not a certain thing until they came and found me one afternoon and said you need to be down here with your bags packed in two hours," he told local news station KSNT.
Their emotional reunion has already been watcher over 7.4 million times on Facebook, and shared by 92,000 viewers.
As the video spreads far and wide, Cydney says the biggest surprise was that her husband actually managed to pull a fast one on her, with help from the maternity ward nurses.
"He can't surprise me ever," she told KSNT. "Like, that was the first time that had ever panned out for him."
Skyler pulled off another pair of sweet surprises, reuniting with his sons, Leighton and Corbett, and his dog, Lucy, who were all just as stunned as Cydney to see him again so soon.
While the Coopers are glad to share Skyler's heartwarming first meeting with his daughters with the world, now they're just waiting to bring the newborn girls home.
