Save yourself time in the morning by preparing this Slow Cooker Gingerbread Oatmeal in advance for your breakfasts! It's delicious and will give you all the flavors of gingerbread cookies without the guilt!
It's the perfect ooey-gooey breakfast food that will start the day off right! Bonus - it will make your house smell absolutely amazing while it cooks!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup steel cut oats
- Sliced apples to garnish - optional
Directions:
Spray your slow cooker with cooking spray before pouring in the milk, water, molasses, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and salt.
Then add in the oats to the mixture and stir it all up.
Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
Top with sliced apples or pecans anything you like on top of your oatmeal!
