Once you become a parent, you spend a good chunk of your time worrying about your child's well-being.
For many moms and dads, keeping their kid safe is their biggest priority, so as you can imagine, finding out that their child has gone missing is one of the worst things that could happen to them.
Unfortunately, this is a reality that some parents experience, and this includes celebrities.
A few days ago, Irish singer Sinead O'Connor took to Twitter to ask the public for help in finding her son, Shane, who had gone missing.
The "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer revealed to her 40,000 followers that her "Sweet 14 yr old has been going missing a lot and is currently missing for the last two days" and she's been frantically searching for him to no avail.
"If you are a parent in whose house he has been staying or is staying, please call Dundrum Gardai," O'Connor, who also goes by her Muslim name Shuhada' Sadaqat, wrote.
She added that "Not calling them is not helping him."
The artist later explained that her son, whom she shares with her ex-partner Donal Lunnay, was headed "for the home of someone called Orlando," and desperately asked for anyone who has spotted him to get in touch with police.
It took three days in total, but O'Connor's boy finally returned home.
The 52-year-old once again took to Twitter to let her fans know that "Shane has been located safe and well."
O'Connor did not reveal why Shane suddenly left home without divulging his whereabouts to her.
Shane is the controversial singer's third child. She has another son named Jake, as well as two daughters, Roisin and Yeshua.
