Last month, royal watchers almost fell off their chairs when Meghan Markle's estranged half-sister Samantha Markle issued an apology for all the "asinine" comments she made about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex over the past year.
The unexpected apology came on the heels of Meghan and Prince Harry announcing that they're going to become first-time parents next spring.
Instead of her usual antagonistic stance, Samantha softened up her tone and told the Daily Mail that she is "so excited" for the couple.
"I'm so happy for you and I really, really am sorry for any of the past tension and confusion and misunderstandings and asinine things I've said when I just didn't understand what was going on and I wanted things to work out for my dad.But this is just a great time for you guys and Meg, I love you. Congratulations to both of you. Let's just let it all go and you two be wonderful happy parents"”I'm so happy for both of you."
The 53-year-old, whose reactions are often unpredictable, hasn't been heard from since making the sweet statement in October.
Many people have assumed that after an apology that seemed so genuine, she may be done exposing the skeletons in her family's closet, but that's far from what's really going on.

According to the most recent reports, Samantha has been so silent lately because she has been working on a tell-all book, and of course, the main focus will be on her sister.
Titled In The Shadows Of The Duchess, the book apparently "covers everything" from "lullabies to lies."
Samantha told the Daily Star that since "the world does not know truth total truth...[I'm] holding nothing back!" She also added that she also discusses being cyber-bullied and receiving death threats ever since her sister became a royal.
"I am dealing with cyber stalking and cyber bullying with little Twitter trolls... they're kind of nasty sending out banners and propaganda about me that's disparaging and not true," she said in the interview. "They have been reported to the FBI and they were calling in death threats to radio stations (too), so the FBI and police have their phone numbers and their addresses."
Samantha won't divulge any more details about the book's content, but she did tease that it will reveal a huge family drama, involving Meghan and their controversial nephew Tyler Dooly.
Of course, this announcement has left some people assuming she is seeking attention, but Samantha, who suffers from multiple sclerosis that has bound her to a wheelchair, argues that she's simply using the opportunity to "benefit others and bring about change."
"Great things are on the horizon and I have a voice and platform to put to good use really to benefit others and bring about change," she added. "It's important for me to do this bring about change) especially in the areas of cyber bullying, disability, social media."
However, the book's potential release date has left a sour taste in many people's mouth. It is reported that the candid book will be out in April or May, right around the time Meghan and Harry's baby is due.
