Reese's Unveils New Advent Calendar, And It's What Dreams Are Made Of

Amazon/New Line Cinema

I think we can all agree that most holidays are improved by candy. I know, I know. It's really not good for us to eat the sugary snacks, but sometimes we just can't help it! We'll find any excuse to grab a bag of M&M Peanuts (my favorite) at the store, or sneak a Kit Kat bar on the drive home.

Now that Halloween has passed, our window of opportunity to eat candy guilt-free is slowly closing. Lucky for us, Reese's is in our corner, and have just released a product that will give us another reason to chow down on some candy.

The iconic candy brand unveiled their Reese's advent calendar, and it looks like something we all need in our lives. The calendar features 24 days of peanut butter goodness, with treats like different flavored mini-peanut butter cups and Reese's Pieces.

There's no word on what the grand finale is for the Christmas Eve treat, but odds are it's something amazing. There are already Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in the shape of Christmas trees, so maybe it's one of those? Either way, it's not going to disappoint...that's a guarantee.

Amazon

The calendar, which is currently available on Amazon, is going for $23 due to popular demand. It's already the #1 New Release product on the site. That being said, you can find it for significantly less money at Target, Wegmans, Meijer, Tops, Shopko, and Cracker Barrel, where it will retail for $6.99.

Reese's already knows this is going to be a big hit, as they conducted research for a prior Halloween experiment. The company created a "candy converter," which took users' unwanted Halloween candy and exchanged it for Reese's product.

"Disappointment goes in, Reese's Cups come out," they explained. They also said that 90% of Americans wish they could trade their Halloween candy, so it sounds like it's about time someone came up with a way to swap it all.

Reese's

"As the #1 Halloween candy (with over half of candy buyers purchasing Reese's), Reese's has come up with a solution -- give us your unwanted candy, and we'll give you what you actually want -- Reese's Peanut Butter Cups," Anna Lingeris, a spokesperson for the parent company Hershey, said.

And from the sounds of if on Twitter, the company is right. People are loving the new calendar...but aren't loving the wait involved!

"My parents bought me a Reese's Advent calendar but it's not even going to make it to December," a woman named Renee said.

Kyle Potterton echoed this statement.

"Reese's peanut butter cup advent calendar secured today, it'll do well to last until 1st December!" he said.

Personally, I don't think I would be able to resist myself by eating only one treat per day, but I may have to buy who just to test out that theory!

Will you be trying the new Reese's Advent Calendar?
