Attention all dog owners: there is another dog food you need to throw out immediately.
After a string of pet food recalls over the last month, yet another company has issued a statement saying their food is potentially contaminated.
Blue Buffalo is recalling the Blue Wilderness Rocky Mountain Recipe Red Meat Dinner Wet Food for adult dogs, sold nationwide, for fear that it contains a higher than normal level of beef-thyroid hormones.
The food could produce such symptoms as increased thirst, urination, and weight loss. After prolonged exposure, dogs could experience vomiting, diarrhea and difficulty breathing.
"If your pet has consumed the product listed above and has exhibited any of these symptoms, please discontinue feeding and contact your veterinarian," the company said in a statement.
The food in question has a best buy date of June 7, 2019.
So far, only one dog has been affected by the tainted food, and has since made a full recovery.
