As Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's put the final touches on their wedding day plans, it appears some of the most prominent members of the royal family have just rejected their invite.
The couple are set to tie the knot on October 12 at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, in what will be the second royal wedding of the year.
In January it was reported that Eugenie and Jack had originally planned to tie the knot in September, but had to postpone the date to a month later as it was speculated Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be on a royal tour.
However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's first major overseas tour was eventually set for October 16, and as a result they still won't be around for the entire celebration.
Although Meghan and Harry are set to attend the official ceremony, the couple will be skipping out of part of the two-day afterparty to give them enough time to prepare for their tour, a source told Harper's Bazaar.
While 850 guests will be in attendance, they aren't the only members of the British monarchy to be missing the big day.
Where's Grandpa?
Prince Philip may be the patriarch of the royal family, but that doesn't mean he's obligated to attend his granddaughter's big day.
At the 97 years old, the Duke of Edinburgh has had his fair share of health concerns, which has led to a handful of trips to the hospital.
Philip retired from royal duties in August 2017, and since then has only been seen on rare occasions.
Palace insiders told the Telegraph that Philip's attendance will be solely based on how he feels that day.
"The Duke of Edinburgh may not go to the wedding, just as he and the Queen did not attend Prince Louis christening in July.
There's not a three line whip on these family occasions. Not unreasonably, when you consider his age, the Duke of Edinburgh will decide on the morning of the wedding if he's going to be there.
He now very much operates on a 'wake up and see how I feel' basis."
But there may be another reason Queen Elizabeth II's husband decides to skip Eugenie's wedding altogether.
According to The Daily Beast, Philip has never forgiven Eugenie's mother Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson since her divorce from his son, Prince Andrew.
While still married to the Duke of York, photos exposed Fergie's affair to her American financial adviser John Bryan in 1992.
"Philip has been unable to forgive Fergie for the damage he perceives she did to the family via her series of extramarital affairs and subsequent commercial work," a source told the publication.
A Prior Engagement
Eugenie's aunt Camilla Parker Bowles will miss the entire celebration as she had already agreed to attend a pre-organized official engagement at a elementary school in Scotland.
Although she had accepted the invitation before the Duchess of York set her wedding date, Mail Online reports that she sent the couple a handwritten letter, sending them her best wishes and to apologize for missing her nuptials.
It's said the Duchess of Cornwall also added that she didn't want to disappoint the school children by bailing on her commitment.
However, Prince Charles will make the nine-hour trip from Scotland to Windsor Castle for the big day, but wouldn't be present at the black tie evening event at Royal Lodge.
While these high profile royals won't be in attendance, Eugenie and Jack will still have plenty of star-studded guests at their wedding, who are rumored to be Elton John and David Furnish, George and Amal Clooney, Ellie Goulding, Harry's ex-girlfriends Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas.
