By now, the world is familiar with the tumultuous relationship between Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana.
During their 15 year marriage, several reports of the couple's extramarital affairs leaked into the media.
While everyone was aware Charles was besotted with his longtime lover (and now-wife), Camilla Parker Bowles, Diana was rumored to have more than one secret partner.
The Princess of Wales was most notably linked to James Hewitt, a red-haired cavalry officer, who has been long suspected of being her son, Prince Harry's father. While Diana admitted to the five-year affair in an 1995 Panorama interview, she was adamant the affair began in 1986, two years after Harry was born.
Now, another one of Diana alleged romantic relationship is coming to light, after her butler, Paul Burrell, revealed the princess had a tryst with a a Grammy Award-winning musician.
Dubbed "the only man Diana ever trusted," Burrell has previously revealed tidbits of information on Diana's personal life that had astounded the public, but the details of this affair may just take the cake.
While filming I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Australia, Burrell told the Real Housewives of Sydney star, Lisa Oldfield, he frequently snuck Canadian rockstar, Bryan Adams, into Kensington Palace.
"Yeah, Diana and Bryan Adams hooked up in the mid-90s. Apparently Paul used to sneak him into Kensington Palace in the boot of his car," Oldfield told Australian radio station, KIIS FM on March 29.
This isn't the first time rumors of the pair's romance has emerged. In 2003, Adams's then-girlfriend, Cecilie Thomsen, claimed "The Summer of 69" singer's affair with the late princess damaged their 12-year relationship.
"I knew Diana had an affair with Bryan," the former Bond girl shared at the time. "Bryan knew Paul Burrell very well and Paul was part of the inner circle around Bryan, and he also introduced him to Diana."
"The first time Bryan met Diana I wasn't invited. Ours was a stormy relationship and Bryan's affair with Diana didn't make it easier," Thomsen continued, adding she even attended the princess's funeral service in 1997. "I was sitting in the church with mixed emotions," she said.
In 2001, Burrell wrote the biography, A Royal Duty, where he first began sharing intimate details of Diana's personal life. He said she had engaged in at least nine affairs, which included a Hollywood actor, a novelist, a sporting legend, a musician, a politician, a lawyer, an entrepreneur and a billionaire businessman.
He also said Diana's favorite secret lover was with heart surgeon, Hasnat Khan, which occurred after her relationship with Adams.
