Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Share Their Official Wedding Portraits And They Look So Dreamy

It's been a couple of days since the most anticipated wedding of the year took place, but Prince Harry and former actress Meghan Markle are still the talk of the town.

The newly minted Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot at Windsor Castle's St. George's Chapel on May 19.

As soon as the beautiful hour-long ceremony wrapped up, the couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife in front of the church steps, then proceeded to take a carriage ride around Windsor Town.

The newlyweds were then welcomed by their 600 guests, including the Beckhams, Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, and George and Amal Clooney, at an afternoon reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II.

The luncheon menu featured canapés, including Scottish langoustines, grilled English asparagus and croquette of confit Windsor lamb, as well as bowls of chicken fricassee with morel mushrooms, pea and mint risotto and slow-roasted pork belly.

The layered lemon and elderflower wedding cake, which was designed by California-raised London baker Claire Ptak, was the centerpiece.

200 Amalfi lemons and 10 bottles of elderflower cordial from Queen Elizabeth II's Sandringham estate were used to make the cake, which was decorated with Swiss meringue buttercream and 150 fresh flowers including roses and peonies.

The best man, Prince William was the master of ceremonies, and both Harry and his father, Prince Charles gave heartfelt speeches during the event.

Elton John performed a medley of his songs "for the newly married couple in recognition of the close connection he has with Prince Harry and his family," according to the Kensington Palace.

200 of their closest family members and friends had a few hours of downtime before they made their way to the evening reception at Frogmore House hosted by Prince Charles.

While everyone else was resting, Harry, Meghan, and their immediate family were busy being photographed for the official wedding portraits.

Instead of keeping their well-wishers waiting for long, Kensington palace shared a few of the photos on social media, and they couldn't be more perfect.

Three photographs taken by celebrity photographer Alexi Lubomirski were released shortly after the ceremony, including one family portrait, one with the page boys and bridesmaids, and a black and white shot of the newlyweds on the posing on the East Terrace, Windsor Castle.

The happy couple took the opportunity to thank their supporters and those who played a part in their nuptials.

"The Duke and Duchess would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their Wedding. They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and also all those who watched the wedding on television across the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world."

"Their Royal Highnesses are delighted with these official portraits taken by Alexi Lubomirski and are happy to be able to share them today," the statement continued. "They would also like to say thank you for all of the generous messages of support they have received."

Alexi, who also took the couple's engagement photos just a few months ago, also shared a statement after the portraits were unveiled.

"It has been an incredible honour and privilege to document The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's inspiring journey of love, hope and family; from the engagement photos, all the way through to the official wedding and family portraits on Saturday. This has been a beautiful chapter in my career and life, that I will happily never forget."

The public were one again able to get another glimpse of Harry and Meghan as they made a dramatic departure for the nighttime festivities.

They both had an outfit change. Harry went with a tuxedo, while Meghan wore a white Stella McCartney gown with a high neck and bare shoulders, she paired the look with the something blue Harry gifted her with - a large aquamarine cocktail ring that once belonged to Diana.

The lovebirds, who were set to spend their first night as a married couple at Windsor Castle, were not seen again after driving away in a classic Jaguar convertible.

The silver blue Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero was originally manufactured in 1968 and now runs on electricity.

During the event emceed by comedian and talk show host James Corden, the newlyweds and their inner circle were treated to a sit-down dinner that featured an organic spread with a "Spring meets summer" theme.

Guests also feasted on "dirty burgers," cotton candy and sipped on drinks-of-the-world themed cocktails - including one made with ginger (a nod to Harry's hair color) and rum named "When Harry Met Meghan."

The couple took over the dance floor for their first dance to the Whitney Houston hit "I Wanna Dance With Somebody." Meghan revealed back in 2016 that this was her "happy song."

Harry and Meghan invited their guests to join them on the dance floor, and the party continued with Harry's favorite tunes mixed by celebrity DJ Sam Totolee.  Actor and DJ Idris Elba also played a set.

Elton John also had a chance to entertain the couple for the second time that day.

An insider told Mirror that games, including beer pong, were a part of the party. To no one's surprise, Serena Williams came out on top because she played it "like it was tennis."

Meghan, Harry, William, Charles, as well as a few of their close friends delivered some heartfelt speeches before the reception ended in a dazzling fireworks display.

However, that wasn't the end of the night for some.

There was an after party at London's Chiltern Firehouse, as well as one at a soundproofed private home in Chelsea.

According to reports, the newlyweds left at midnight and did not attend any of these parties.

They have since returned to their home in Kensington palace, and attended their first royal event as a married couple on May 22.

They attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace honoring Prince Charles for his philanthropic work. It is the first of many events to take place ahead of the Prince of Wales's 70th birthday in November.

Harry delivered a speech in which he talked about his father's selflessness.

"It is your selfless drive to affect change, whether that is to improve the lives of those who are on the wrong path, to save an important piece of our national heritage or to protect a particular species under threat, which (Prince) William and I draw inspiration from every day," he said.

In order to fulfill the royal duties they have already committed to, the couple postponed their honeymoon.

It's still unclear where they will go when they do decide to take a break from the public eye, but the most likely destination is Namibia. Africa has been a special place to both Harry and Meghan, as individuals and as a couple.

For now, be prepared to see more of the Duke and Duchess in the upcoming weeks as they return to work.
