Everyone knows that CPR saves lives, but if you don't know how to do it correctly, it is ineffective. According to American Heart Association victims of cardiac arrest have a better chance of survival if they receive CPR immediately following an attack.
The association recommends that rescuers push on the chest at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute. To help you keep count, the New York-Presbyterian Hospital has created a Spotify playlist of songs that have 100 beats per minute!
Have a listen - we bet some of your favorites are on this list!
Each year, over 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the United States. If CPR is performed within minutes of an attack, a person's chances of surviving can double or triple thanks to the lifesaving technique.
Keep a few of these songs handy on your phone just in case you ever need to respond with CPR in an emergency!
