Have you ever wanted to live somewhere beautiful without having to spend a lot of money? Yeah, that sounds like the dream, but it can actually be a reality.
There are 10 places in America that will offer you a lot of perks if you move there - and the best part is that they're beautiful cities.

1. Baltimore, Maryland
Baltimore is absolutely gorgeous. If you haven't been, you'll fall in love with the National Aquarium and the American Visionary Art Museum. There's a lot of other hidden gems in that big city too, but you'll have to move there to find out for yourself.
The city offers programs to encourage people to buy homes. If you qualify, the program Buying Into Baltimore will give you a $5,000 forgivable five-year loan, and Vacants to Value Booster will give you $10,000 for a down payment and other costs if you buy a "distressed property."
2. Alaska
If you've watched the reality show Alaskan Bush People, you know how wealthy they are. It's undeniable that just living in Alaska has contributed to their financial success.
Alaska has been an oil mine for decades, and they've been sharing that wealth with their residents since 1976. As part of the Permanent Fund Dividend, each year 25% of the state's oil revenue is divided among its permanent residents.
This money averages from $1,200 to upwards of approximately $3,500!
3. New Haven, Connecticut
New Haven is a gorgeous city in the Northeast situated by the Atlantic Ocean. If you've got a family, this city is the best option for you.
The city guarantees free tuition to students who graduate from one of their public schools, or they can receive approximately $2,500 each year toward their tuition. They'll also help you with a down payment on a home that is interest-free.
Even if you don't have a kid, but are environmentally friendly, New Haven will offer you $30,000 to add solar panels or other energy saving devices to your home.
4. Marquette, Kansas
Do you want FREE land? I'm talking about acres of open field, lush grass, and breathtaking sunset views. If this sounds like a dream, you should consider moving to the city of Marquette.
If you agree to build a home on a plot of land and live there all in two years, you will quality for the free land offer. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
5. Curtis, Nebraska
If Kansas isn't what you're looking for, maybe Nebraska will be. The city of Curtis is also offering free land to people who decide to build a home on it.
It's kind of like camping. You choose a lot and there's a paved road there ready for you. All you got to do is set up your "tent." This is the perfect opportunity to build that dream house of yours!

6. Detroit, Michigan
You'll scoff at this one, but first hear me out. Detroit hasn't had the best reputation in the last couple of years, but it's getting better! Motown needs your help to bring it back to where it used to be, and they're willing to offer you great incentives.
You can be eligible for a $20,000 forgivable loan when you buy your first home, $5,000 for revamping your home, and $2,500 allowance to fund your first year's rent. These are just a few of the many benefits the city offers. City life has never been so cheap!
7. Minnesota
If you're not a big fan of the heat and are looking to move into a small and friendly town, head to Minnesota.
The city of New Richland will give you free land if you build a home within a year. And the city of Harmony will give home-builders a cash rebate of up to $12,000 to cover the cost of constructing your home.
8. Niagara Falls, New York
Niagara Falls is one of the most beautiful attractions in the world. No matter the season, the waterfall is a sight to see.
The city is willing to give you approximately $7,000 in student loan reimbursements if you agree to live in the downtown region. So if you don't mind the hustle and bustle of downtown life, this is the perfect place for you.
9. Marne, Iowa
Iowa is another state that will offer you free land, specifically the city of Marne, which is not too far from Omaha.
Like many of the other Midwestern cities, Marne will give you the land for free if you build a home on it and live there. Those of you that enjoy farming life, you'll love this place.
10. Wyoming
Wyoming is arguably my favorite state in the U.S. It's the home of Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. The mountains at Grand Teton are breathtaking.
If you're willing to fix up a home, or you're a low-income family, the Wyoming Rehabilitation and Acquisition Program will help you out. You'll be saving more than $10,000. So there are perks in paradise!
If you're looking to leave the U.S., here are five beautiful locations outside of America that will also pay you to move there:
1. Switzerland
The Swiss alps are something most people can only dream of seeing. If you're 45 years old or under, and are willing to live in Switzerland for a decade, you can receive approximately $2,500 for moving there.
That sounds like quite the commitment, but Switzerland is considered one of the best countries to live in.
2. Italy
I don't think there's anyone who can look at pictures of Italy and not dream about going there. The cities in the south are particularly beautiful, since they're right on the Mediterranean coast.
The town of Candela, which is situated in southeast Italy, is willing to give families 2,000 euros or approximately $2,500 to move there. The thing is, you can't be freeloader, the only thing you need to do is get a job.
3. New Zealand
The small island close to Australia has a reputation for being way too expensive, but not all of its cities will break the bank.
For example, the city of Kaitangata will offer newcomers many benefits, such as a home and land package that is worth approximately $160,000. They'll even help you get a job!
4. Chile
Have you ever dreamed of starting your own business? A program called Start-Up Chile will give people one year working visas to help them achieve their dreams.
If you're selected by the program, you can receive approximately $15,000 to live there and work on your business plans.
5. Canada
Our friendly neighbor in the north will also give you a helping hand if you move to its northernmost region.
If the cold doesn't bother you and you like living in a small town, this is the perfect place to call home. The territory of Yukon will give you free land if you're able to cultivate it for almost a decade. The only catch here is that you need to have a Canadian citizenship, which isn't too hard to get if you're already an American.
