You open the cupboard to make your favorite batch of cookies, or top your morning oatmeal, and you realize that the last grains of brown sugar have been used up! Oh, the horror.
Well here's the simple solution: make your own!
Brown sugar is really just white sugar before the molasses has been refined out of it. So grab your food processor and add the molasses back in- and BAM, there you have it, brown sugar once again.
Put 1 cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of molasses together and mix it well. The sugar will fluff up in the food processor and will still be equivalent to 1 cup if you pack it down for your baking.
With how easy this is, why buy store brand again?
