If you don't get a thrill out of walking your dog around the block anymore, we have just the thing for you to try. At the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in Australia, guests can help the center's wombats Jenomi and Lee stretch their legs.

Wombats, if you're not familiar, are one of Australia's cutest and weirdest mammals. They sort of look like a possum crossed with a dog, and they're very fun to cuddle with.

They're also lazy, which is why they need all the help they can get to exercise. One study found that wombats move less than 600 feet in a day, which won't even break a sweat, let alone your 10,000 daily steps.

<amp-facebook data-href="https://www.facebook.com/9NewsPerth/videos/1579190335426454" layout="responsive" height="600" width="640"></amp-facebook>

Wombat walking isn't all fun and games either. The $35 fee charged by the center goes towards protecting this endangered species. So really, it's a win-win for people and wombats.

If you live in Australia, visit the sanctuary's website to learn more.

Share this story if you would love to walk a wombat!
