There are very few movies that are universally loved. Very few. There's almost always someone who has something negative to say about any movie out there, but when it comes to Mrs. Doubtfire, it's a lot harder to find people who don't absolutely love it.
The 1993 classic was a highlight in the career of one of the funniest men to have ever lived, and thanks to Robin Williams' ability to switch between gut-busting slapstick moments and heart-wrenching emotional monologues, the movie remains a favorite among many.
Watching Daniel Hillard struggle to gain some control over his life in the face of divorce was really relatable in the 90s, as many families were going through the same thing.
Hollywood isn't really known for going into what happens after the wedding. Even though there is a 50% divorce rate, most movies end right after the wedding. This movie went into the effects of divorce on the family, but in a way that was truly unexpected.
Honestly, to pair up such a realistic story of a broken family with such a wacky premise probably shouldn't have worked, but it absolutely did.
Williams made the movie, and I think it's fair to say that there isn't another human being who could have filled those shoes (or wig) any better than him. But he wasn't the only one in the movie, the rest of the cast was also incredible.
Sally Field played Williams' estranged wife Miranda, and their three children were played by Lisa Jakub, Matthew Lawrence, and Mara Wilson.
The other main character in the movie was Miranda's new boyfriend played by none other than James Bond dreamboat Pierce Brosnan.
The movie dealt with how the children were reacting to their mom's new boyfriend, but overall they were pretty nice to him. As it turns out, that kindness extended to behind-the-scenes, because after 25 years they are all still friends.
On October 24th, all three of the Hillard kids met up with their stepdad for dinner and the picture is absolutely perfect.

Brosnan, Lawrence, Jakub, and Wilson were having their own little reunion dinner to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic movie, and as expected fans were thrilled to see them back together.
"This is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this picture with us Lisa. Mrs. Doubtfire is one of my all time favorite movies and seeing you, Matt [Lawrence], Mara [Wilson] and Pierce [Brosnan] together makes me so happy. This picture definitely brought a smile to my face. You all look great," one fan responded to the
While others were ready with some call-backs to the film. "Don't forget to tip the kitchen staff. You don't want to be a victim of a run-by-fruiting!"
Jakub shared another video of them taking more pictures, while Brosnan had them recreate a photo from the premiere.
It's crazy to see them all grown up, but Pierce clearly still loves his "stepchildren" after all these years.
Jakub had been hinting that the little reunion was happening, sharing a video with her followers a few days earlier of her in an airport referencing a "certain significant anniversary" saying that she was visiting some "fake siblings." Obviously people figured it out really fast but it's nice to see them all back together again.
While it's unlikely that the Hillard family will be reuniting on screen again, it's nice to see they still keep in touch after all these years.
When was the last time you watched Mrs. Doubtfire?
