Mother Goose Makes Her Nest Outside Hospital Maternity Ward

<div><p>While migrating North, this pair of geese made a stop at a Nebraska hospital's maternity ward to welcome their new additions. </p><p>The geese, who hospital staff have named Ralph and Alice after the famous couple from the Honeymooners, have chosen a flower pot outside the hospital's emergency entrance below the maternity ward to lay their eggs.</p><p>"We can see them bickering once in a while, which is why we named them Alice and Ralph," said Inglish Camero, Vice President of patient care services at Alegent Creighton Health Lakeside Hospital.</p><div><figure><amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/04/g13.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/04/g13_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/04/g13_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img><figcaption class="op-vertical-center"><cite> Sarah Hoffman/The World Herald</cite></figcaption></figure></div><p>It's not uncommon for the area to see Canadian geese migrating north in the spring. They tend to nest in different location around the property each year, this year choosing a flower pot. </p><p><!-- [invalid-shortcode] --></p><p>"Alice and Ralph started laying eggs last week," Camero said. "She's laid six eggs "” sextuplets in our driveway." It may be several weeks before the eggs hatch, so in the meantime, hospital staff has put up signs warning visitors to be on the lookout for the geese.
