If you went to school back in the day, you probably recognize this common school-room staple.

Anyone who wrote with a pencil knew the sheer dread of having to get up in the middle of class and use an old-fashioned pencil sharpener, which made the equivalent sound of a semi-truck driving over crushed metal...it was LOUD.

Not only that, if you got too ambitious and went quickly, you would be gifted with a beautiful bruise across your knuckles.

That video pretty much says it all. When the sharpener DID work, it was a day to be celebrated. Otherwise, I hope you brought a few spare pencils with you.
