Every parent wants the best for their children, including health, wealth, and happiness. But most children don't have all three before they turn 23 years old.
Brady Singer, who just signed a lucrative contract to pitch for the Kansas City Royals baseball team, is the exception.
Like most star athletes, Singer credits his parents for their dedication and support, which helped him achieve his major league dreams. And this Christmas, he paid them back in a beautiful way with a life-changing Christmas gift.
Singer taped the moment when his parents opened their gift at the dining room table. It began as his mother read a letter he wrote to them, thanking them for their support.
"You both always wanted me to have the best stuff to help me pursue my dreams. The money you both spent on traveling, gear, hotel, food and all those Gatorades I drank is much more than I could ever give you," he wrote.

"But there is something I want to give to you. I am paying off the loan from the bank [and] I've paid off all your debt as well."
Singer went on to reveal in his letter that his parents were "trying to save money every weekend" to replace the cash they spent "on traveling to see me play baseball."
Singer wanted his parents to spend that money on themselves instead, and now they can, thanks to his generosity. Both of Singer's parents were visibly choked up by their son's act of kindness in his video.
"Because you deserve the very best," he wrote.
"I want you both to know how much I appreciate you and how none of this would be possible without you. Your giving hearts helped me to shape my tiny dream into a reality."
While it's not clear how much the sweet Christmas gift cost Singer, with his $4.25 million signing bonus from the Royals, it's safe to say he can afford it.
While Singer's good deed is going viral this week, he's not the only pro baseball player to surprise his parents with such a generous gift. Last year, 21-year-old Arizona Diamondbacks player Pavin Smith paid up his parents' mortgage and filmed their excited reaction.

"Thank you for raising me in a great home filled with love," Smith wrote in his letter. "Because of all the sacrifices you made to get me where I am, I want our family home to be yours."
A gift like this is not something every child can afford to do for their parents, but these two remembered to put family first after finding success in their careers, and that's a holiday lesson we should all keep in our hearts.
