When Ashford Evans came home to a quiet house, the first thing she thought was of how heavenly and rare the deafening silence was.

The busy mom of three had returned late from a business meeting and was greeted by a delicious aroma coming from the bathroom. She described it as a sweet, citrus smell and it appeared that someone had scrubbed the bathroom just before she got home.

On the counter, in a child's cereal bowl was what appeared to be a shriveled up bar of soap. Funny, she didn't remember buying grapefruit soap...

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/03/13133200_1054413741299668_6800207035209022608_n.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/03/13133200_1054413741299668_6800207035209022608_n_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/03/13133200_1054413741299668_6800207035209022608_n_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>
The 'soap.'biscuitsandcrazy

She picked it up and held it to her nose. "Breathing in the scent of fresh grapefruit in a perfectly silent house is just short of heaven, I believe." She wrote on her blog Biscuits and Crazy.

The next morning her daughter emerges from the bathroom, pressing the bar of soap to her lips and breathing in deeply. The boutique soap she had been caressing 12 hours earlier was actually a urinal cake.

Ashford screamed, grabbed the urinal cake from her daughter's hands and threw it in the trash. Then, she washed EVERYTHING.

Thankfully, no one got sick. Moral of the story? Kids are gross.

"Here's to kids being the most disgusting creatures ever to crawl the face of the Earth," Ashford wrote.

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/03/Screen-Shot-2017-02-02-at-20132-PM.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/03/Screen-Shot-2017-02-02-at-20132-PM_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>

Source: Biscuits and Gravey / Twentytwowords
