After an extended hiatus, singer Michael Bublé, 43, is finally back on the road.
The Canadian crooner is set to perform in Australia this week, and has been taking interviews in anticipation.
But what everyone really wanted to know about was his son Noah's cancer battle.
And the singer provided an emotional update as he thanked fans for their support.
"I much rather would have it have been me. Many times I wish that it had been."
While Bublé's son Noah, 5, is in remission and doing well following intense treatment, Bublé is still reflecting on the stressful time, which he compared to going through Hell.
In an interview with Today Australia, Bublé got emotional as he recalled Noah's struggle, revealing there were days when he and his wife "wished we didn't wake up."
Noah had been diagnosed with a type of liver cancer called hepatoblastoma in October 2016, when he was only three.
Bublé said getting the news that your child has cancer is "the worst possible thing that you could hear as a parent, and as maybe a human being."
In the midst of Noah's treatment, he remembered that he and his wife, Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato, 31, were "just surviving, struggling to survive, and to breathe."
"I much rather would have it have been me," he said. "Many times I wish that it had been."
"I don't think the public would ever understand how much their love and compassion and support meant to my family."
While things seemed bleak when Noah was sick, Bublé said a rare silver lining was the outpouring of support from his fans.
"More times than people could understand, some days when we wished we didn't wake up, when we did, we felt the love of those people," he said.
"We knew they were praying for us, we knew that there was goodness out there. It gave us faith in humanity."
In another new interview with Australia's Daily Telegraph Bublé revealed that his new album, Love, was inspired by the love his fans showed during Noah's health scare.
"One of the reasons I felt I could do [music] again was I don't think the public would ever understand how much their love and compassion and support meant to my family," he explained.
"And I wanted, in a small way, to say thank you for that. When I felt I could, I wanted to come back and show them that."
When Noah was finally given a clean bill of health last February, Bublé also thanked fans in an emotional public statement.
"He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage," Bublé wrote. "We thank God for the strength he has given all of us."
Since then, there's been more good news for Bublé and his growing family.
Along with 5-year-old Noah, Bublé and Lopilato have a 2-year-old son named Elias, and welcomed a baby girl named Vida in July (the same month Bublé cheerfully announced "everything is good" with Noah).
In the caption under her first photos of Vida, Lopitano said it all about a mother's love for her children:
"How to explain that our heart explodes with love? That there's not enough hours in a day to think about it," she wrote.
"I thank God for making us this gift of life and happiness! Because looking in her eyes is looking at heaven itself!"
