They say that seeing is believing, but it only took one look at these Melted Snowman Cookies to see that they are unbelievably cute... and so creative too!
You can make them with a standard sugar cookie mix, but how you decorate them is where the magic happens. They are just so fun to make, and everyone gets a good laugh when you share these around! It looks like Frosty the Snowman couldn't take the heat of the oven! If he didn't like melting, he's not going to like what happens next!
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Sugar Cookie Mix
- 10-12 large marshmallows
- Black decorating gel
- Mini orange M&M's
- White cookie icing
- Red, blue and green decorating icing
- Wilton decorating tips
Directions:
Make and bake cookies according to package directions. Allow them to cool on a metal rack. When cookies are cool, ice the cookies with a spoon allowing the icing to drip over the edges to create a "melting snow" effect.
Set marshmallows on a plate and microwave on high for 15 seconds.
Spray your hands with cooking spray and carefully pull the marshmallows off the plate, setting them on the frosted cookies.
Use red, green or blue icing to make the snowman's scarf.
Use black decorating gel to make the snowman's stick arms, eyes, and mouth.
Add a drop of icing to a mini orange M&M to make the "carrot" nose.
