This week, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain are in the United States to celebrate 300 years of friendship between the two nations.
The royals have made stops in two other cities, New Orleans and San Antonio, before arriving in Washington D.C. for the last leg of their trip.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump and his wife Melania, who wore a gorgeous deep green and white floral dress, welcomed the royal couple to the White House, where they posed for photos outside the house before attending an old-fashioned tea party in the Red Room.
However, once inside, Their Majesties as well the as the First Couple had to endure a press pool before proceeding with their day. That's when New York Times photographer Doug Mills captured an intriguing photo of the First Lady that has since gone viral.
Doug shared the snap on Twitter with the caption, "@FLOTUS looks on as @realDonaldTrump meets with Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain in the Oval Office."
Melania's stoic demeanor while being surrounded by a large group of members of the press was so impressive that the photo went viral soon after.
Many people were seriously impressed that she was able to remain unbothered while all the hoopla was going on around her.
One Twitter called her "a hologram," while another asked if the photo of a "wax figure unveiling."
However, there were some who felt sorry for her for having to deal with having so much media attention on her all the time.
"Gorgeous dress. Terrifying life," tweeted one user, adding, "She's not by herself. She's surrounded by an insane amount of photographers capturing every blink she makes. That's a terrifying life portrayed by this incredible photograph. It captures the insanity of the scrutiny of a public figure. Not jealous at all."
Others were concerned about how close the press personnel are to Melania's personal space.
"They really should not be allowed to get that close while she is sitting.. I don't care if they have journalism degrees.. Personal space should be observed as a right of decorum," read a concerned tweet.
It was later revealed that the FLOTUS was sitting across from the POTUS, King Felipe and Queen Letizia for a meeting.
The president and the King were supposed to discuss the U.S. administration's new tariffs on steel and aluminum imports as well as Spanish black olives.
The POTUS described having the royal couple in the White House a "really tremendous honor" and a "great end to a perfect visit."
As for Melania, this is one of her first official public appearances since undergoing surgery last month to treat a kidney condition.
The first lady has also been in the news recently for speaking out against the separation of children from their families at the U.S.-Mexico border. She made a surprise visit to the border facilities in McAleen, Texas to get a first-hand experience of the crisis.
"She wants to see what's real," the first lady's spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham told CNN. "She wanted to see as close to what she had been seeing on TV. She wants to see a realistic view of what's happening."
