It's been less than a week since Kensington Palace announced Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be welcoming their first child into the world, and the Duchess of Sussex's unpredictable half-sister has plenty of things to say.
Just a day after the happy news broke out, the public was shocked when Samantha Markle didn't succumb to her typical antagonistic comments and instead voiced her enthusiasm for the soon-to-be newest member of the family.
"It is in the best interests of the baby for my dad to be included."
Although Samantha has often defamed Meghan in the public, she spoke with The Sun, and shared her belief that the newest addition to the family will bring the entire Markle clan closer together.
"It just makes everything that happened over the last year disappear. I want Meghan to be happy and calm and have peace. Everybody needs to be positive," she said.
"I would hope that "” for the sake of the baby, the family, the world and my dad "” that leaving him out of the statement was not intentional."
"I hope my dad is included and at a proper time. If he is excluded, I won't be happy. It is in the best interests of the baby for my dad to be included."
Samantha added that it was imperative that the estranged family needed to move forward from their rocky relationship, especially between Meghan and their father Thomas Markle.
"I think we all have to safeguard against any negative or hurt feelings and just work towards a positive joyous new life in the world," she continued.
"At a proper time, there should be a sit-down wherein everyone can address this properly. Everything has to work itself out. I want to allow Meg and Harry to bring my dad into it in their own appropriate time because they very well should do. Although I can still say I love my sister, I wasn't happy with the way my father was being treated."
"But, you know, we're also seeing now that there was a lot going on "” there may have been a lot of stress."
Of course, it would only be a matter of time before Samantha spoke up about her royal sister again.
"Everybody just needs to shut the heck up."
Just weeks after Samantha traveled to London in an effort to reconnect with the Suits alum, she issued an apology for all of the "asinine" comments she made about Meghan in the past year.
"I'm so excited, I'm so happy for you and I really, really am sorry for any of the past tension and confusion and misunderstandings and asinine things I've said when I just didn't understand what was going on and I wanted things to work out for my dad," Samantha said in an interview with Daily Mail.
"But this is just a great time for you guys and Meg, I love you. Congratulations to both of you. Let's just let it all go and you two be wonderful happy parents"”I'm so happy for both of you."
Although it's unknown if Meghan is aware of her sister's apology - she and Harry are on a 16-day tour down under - Samantha reiterated her previous statement on how the future royal will change all of their lives.
"You know what, it will have a sobering effect on the Markles, I'm sure, and all this family drama, everybody will just sit down and get really mellow and conservative "“ wouldn't the world love that?" Samantha suggested, adding that she believes once Meghan and Thomas reconnect, he'd play an amazing role in his grandchild's life.
"He is excited and I'm not going to let the media take any of that away from him or from Meg "“ they'll work it out in their own space and time," she said.
"I really want him to be a part of the baby's life because my dad is so funny, he was so funny with us when we were kids so I think the baby would miss out on not being able to meet granddad and I know he's got a huge heart and wants to be involved."
Although her words may be a genuine sentiment, we doubt Aunt Samantha will be seen in the palace walls anytime soon.
But, if she's not preoccupied with the royals, she'll still have her hands full refuting her brother's claims against their father.
"When Meghan was a baby, he'd be upstairs in the bedroom, and I'd see lines of cocaine on the mirror."
According to Thomas Markle Jr., the family patriarch has been lying about his experiences with drinking, drugs, and prostitutes.
Although sources close to the former lightening director claimed he had never paid prostitutes for sex and only to the "occasional sniff of cocaine," Thomas Jr. has alleged his father hasn't been honest with his former escapades.
"My dad told me about his trips to Thailand when we were out having a couple of beers," he told Radar Online, adding these events occurred while Thomas was married to Meghan's mother Doria Ragland.
"He said, 'You can get two women for the weekend for 50 bucks. The things they will do to you are incredible. You'll be a changed man.'"
Thomas Jr. also claimed that along with his father gifting him with Thai sticks (filled with highly potent marijuana), he would often find him intoxicated in the house.
"My dad would come home wasted," Thomas Jr. recalled.
"When Meghan was a baby, he'd be upstairs in the bedroom, and I'd see lines of cocaine on the mirror. I'd see him do it."
When Samantha caught wind of her brother's serious allegations, she was quick to defend her father's already controversial reputation.
"'Mugshot man' does another article to disparage our dad. What a lying scumbag.. just because my dad cut off the money wagon and Tom needs drinking money," she wrote on Twitter.
