If you've been living under a rock for the past year, you may be unaware that Meghan Markle has a loudmouth family .
Before the former Suits actress even tied the knot with Prince Harry, her estranged relatives began verbally assaulting her in front of the public, calling her "selfish" and "cruel."
Although the Duchess of Sussex's father, Thomas Markle, was originally tight-lipped when it came to his youngest child, he started blabbing to the media, claiming Meghan had completely cut him out of her life.
And while the retired television lighting director has only spoken about his daughter in the past, he's now targeting Harry.
"Harry told me that I should never go to the press."
In an interview with The Mail on Sunday , Thomas revealed he lied to Harry over his staged photos by claiming he didn't collude with anyone to get them taken, and that he was simply being measured for a hoodie.
But as we all know, the father-of-three eventually admitted to contacting the paparazzi to take pictures of him and portray him in a positive light. Unfortunately, they only opened him up to embarrassment and ridicule when CCTV footage unveiled him interacting with a paid photographer.
"Harry told me that I should never go to the press. That it would end in tears." Thomas told the publication. "He said, 'They will eat you alive.'"
"He was right."
Thomas also divulged another phone call between the two of them, where he claims, "If you had listened to me this would never have happened."
However, the 74-year-old said their discussion came at an inappropriate time, as he was in the hospital recovering from his heart attack, just days before the wedding.
Thomas alleges he said on the phone, "Maybe it would be better for you guys if I was dead... then you could pretend to be sad," and then added he immediately hung up on "rude" Harry afterwards.
While he acknowledges that Harry was "absolutely right" to criticize him, he said "it hurt" when Meghan preemptively forbade him from making a speech at their wedding.
"I'm not mad at Harry. I'm not mad at Meghan. I love them. I wish them well," Thomas told the outlet. "But as for the rest of it ... I'm done."
While Thomas alleges this will be his final interview, the rest of his family show no sign of making that same promise.
"They say blood is thicker than water, but perhaps the blue blood of the royals now runs through Meg's veins."
Although you'd assume it would be Meghan's half-sister Samantha Markle spewing cruel words about about the new royal, her half-brother Thomas Markle Jr. has reappeared in the media, criticizing the way she's been treating her father.
"Throughout our lives, dad always put Meg first, above me and my sister, but if what he is saying is true it appears she is abusing his love for her," Meghan's half-brother Thomas Jr. told The Mirror.
"It's selfish, cruel even. He gave her everything and now she is giving him nothing but hurt back," he said.
He continued, "They say blood is thicker than water, but perhaps the blue blood of the royals now runs through Meg's veins. It's heartbreaking to see how this has changed her and the devastation it has caused to my family.
"Anyone who saw Meg when she was growing up knew her and my dad were inseparable. Now it looks as though they may never speak again," he added.
In an earlier interview with the Mirror, Thomas revealed the rift between him and his daughter began when he refused Meghan's request to shut Samantha out of his life.
"Meghan asked me to tell Samantha to stop talking about her and then asked me to stop talking to Samantha," Thomas explained. "I have two daughters. I can't stop talking to one of them."
"No father should be asked to turn his back on their children. I love Meghan but I also love Samantha," he added.
But as expected, on August 12 Samantha lashed out yet again on her youngest sibling in a string of vicious tweets.
"There would be no just reason for her not to want him in her life, as he was good enough to use to make her everything she is," Samantha wrote. "She should be grateful. Her diplomacy skills suck and are inhumane."
"If you treat your own father like this, Harry is next," she claimed. "Freezing people out is the best way of hiding the truth."
"There is no room for a greedy arrogant, deceitful fake humanitarian on this world stage. How dare she? Disgusting," she concluded.
