As soon as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced last October that they were expecting their first child, fans have been speculating about the baby's gender, due date and possible names.
So far, there is very little known about the upcoming heir as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as well as their families have kept the details private.
As tradition dictates, a royal baby's sex and name are usually kept secret until after the birth, but thanks to a recent revelation by Meghan, the wait won't be for too much longer.
The couple previously announced through the Kensington Palace that the baby, who will be seventh in line to the throne, will be here "in the spring." But during the mom-to-be's first outing of the year with Harry she shared a hint about her due date.
"We asked her how her pregnancy was going and she said she was six months and she tapped her tummy," Carla Gandy, one of the well-wishers who greeted the parents-to-be during their visit to Birkenhead, told People.
While speaking with others in the crowd, the duchess, who dressed her bump in a bold purple dress and red coat, confirmed that she is due in late April.
As for the baby's sex, Meghan told a fan that she and Harry don't know whether it's a boy or girl because they want to keep it a surprise. She also told the crowd that Harry, who loves interacting with children, is "going to be a fantastic dad."
"She said her pregnancy had gone so quickly," one royal watcher told the outlet. "I asked her how she was coping on those high heels. She said, 'One day at a time!'"
Many fans are convinced that the former actress already hinted that baby Sussex would arrive in April shortly after revealing she's pregnant. Meghan wore three stacked rings with colored stones by Canadian designer Ecksand while attending the Invictus Games during the royal tour's Australian stop.
It is believed that the stones - diamond, emerald and blue sapphire - may represent hers, Harry's and their upcoming baby's birth stones.
