Unlike drugs and alcohol, you don't really hear about many fatalities related to porn. This is probably because there is a good chunk of the population that enjoy pornographic materials and will even argue that it can be good for one's overall well-being when consumed in healthy amounts. But what happens when someone is way too deep in their addiction?
A 50-year-old Japanese carmaker, identified only as Joji, was found dead in his apartment after his extensive porn collection that weighed six-tons collapsed. His body remained under the stash for a month before it was discovered.
Joji's landlord was making a visit to the apartment to collect overdue rent when he came across the tragic scene. The Mirror reported that one of the cleaners who was hired to discreetly get rid of the pornographic materials so the bereaved family wouldn't be shamed for it, noted that every inch of the home was covered with dirty magazines. He also told the press that had he survived the initial collapse, he would eventually have suffocated by the stacks of paper.
Following a coroner's exam, it was ruled that the man suffered a heart attack which could've been triggered by the weight of the magazines on his chest.
Since news broke, many media outlets have reported the story that is now going viral however there are some like Gizmodo that think there is more to the the tragedy than meets the eye.
Regardless of which story you believe, one thing is for sure - less is more and as Honre de Balzac once said, "excess of joy is harder to bear than any amount of sorrow."
What do you think really happened?
