"My 600-lb Life" Star Dead At 50

TLC

Less than a month after L.B. Bonner, who appeared on My 600-lb Life, took his own life, another person who appeared on the popular TLC show has died.

Lisa Fleming, whose episode aired in February of 2018, passed away at the age of 50 on August 23, according to her daughter. Fleming reached an astounding high of 704lbs by the time she was 49.

She reached out to Dr. Nowzaradan for help, and started the process to undergo weight-loss surgery. Fleming was bed-ridden, and after complaining about pains in her leg, her daughter checked and found maggots in the folds of her skin.

Fleming was on a restrictive diet while she was in the hospital and lost 87lbs, but when she returned home she couldn't stick to the plan and gained 29lbs back. Because she didn't lose the necessary amount of weight, Fleming was denied weight loss surgery.

Fleming's daughter Danielle told TMZ that her mother had lost 200lbs on her own after appearing on the show, and was even able to stand on her own. But despite her hard work, Fleming's "various illnesses" took their toll on her body.

"At the end she was sick and her body was tired," Danielle told TMZ. She insists that her weight had nothing to do with her death. Danielle posted about her mother's death on Facebook.

I am truly at a loss for words right now. God knows I wanted you to hold on until I got here but He knew what was best for me. I didn't need to see you like that!

This morning I sat and held your hand for 4 hours knowing nothing I could've done would bring you back to me. Anybody who knows me knows I gave my mother my ALL! She was my world and I was her #NumberOneGirl ❤️

Mommy, I love you from here to the stars and back! Those babies loved you even more. I'm happy you're no longer in pain and stuck in that bed.

Y'all pray for me, check on me, come see about me because I am not ok! I love my mama & I wouldn't wish this pain on my worse enemy.

Rest In Peace, Mother Arleasher M. Fleming!

Fleming's struggles with her weight began when she was a child, but got significantly worse after she witnessed her brother's murder. She eventually became bedridden, and when the time came for her to enter the hospital to seek help, it took seven paramedics to remove her from her bed.

Though Danielle insists that her mother's death was not a result of her weight, no cause of death has been released.
