Like many celebrities of his caliber, actor Leonardo DiCaprio owns a lot of properties in a number of different places.
Over the years he has preside over many multi-million dollar properties in New York City, Malibu, Palm Springs, and Hollywood, but after years of living away from one of the neighborhoods he grew up in, he's made the decision to return to his roots.
After his parents separated when he was just a year old, he lived with his mother in many different parts of Los Angeles, including Echo Park and Los Feliz (his old home is now a public library).
Decades after finding success in the entertainment industry with films like Titanic and Inception, the Academy Award-winner has added a gorgeous Los Feliz home to his real estate portfolio.
According to Trulia, Leo, who is worth around $245 million, dropped a whopping $4.91 million on the 4,464 square-foot home.
The house, which was previously owned by Leo's friend and Grammy-nominated artist Moby, dates all the way back to 1926.
After it was purchased by Moby, the house underwent a two-year renovation to modernize its look. While the interior does look a lot more in tune with today's minimalist-but-chic themes, many details of the original craftsmanship still remains.
Surrounded by greenery, the five-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion is the perfect hiding spot for Leo to escape the prying paparazzi.

In this day and age, where celebrities have water parks, outdoor theaters, orchards, and 24-carat gold accents on their residential properties, it's refreshing to see Leo's simple and laid-back taste all over this house.
