Good Morning America co-host Lara Spencer got a second chance at love when she met MarketAxess CEO Rick McVey on a blind date set up by a mutual friend.
Spencer, who was married to former CNN journalist David Haffenreffer until their divorce in 2015, kept her relationship with McVey as private as possible for three and a half years. However, back in January, Spencer revealed that she was engaged to the tech entrepreneur.
This Labor Day weekend, surrounded by 135 of their friends and family members and the majestic mountains of Vail, Colorado, the couple said "I do" in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony.
The Flea Market Flip host wore a form-fitting and sleeveless Adam Zohar lace gown with a mermaid skirt and Prada pumps.
She carried a bouquet filled with white dahlias, garden roses, and freesia. As for the groom, he looked handsome in a white tux.
The ethereal ceremony kicked off with Spencer,49, walking down the aisle to Christina Perri ballad "A Thousand Years." Her 16-year-old son, Duff, accompanied her to the altar.
"It happened!!!" Spencer shared on social media. "Best. Day. Ever."
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed dinner inside a clear tent decorated with white lanterns and lots of white flowers.
The couple opted for a simple and classy four-tiered cake that included layers of chocolate, funfetti and berries and cream.
Not many details about the evening's festivities have been shared, but Spencer did reveal on Instagram that DJ Steve provided the entertainment for the "spectacular weekend." In the photos, she and McVey are seen holding up glow sticks while standing behind the DJ table.
Spencer, who has since returned to work, hasn't revealed whether she and her new husband will be embarking on a honeymoon, but they had a "honeymoon bbq" with their kids in the days that followed the nuptials.
It looks like Spencer and McVey's special day went without a hitch, and we wish them all the best as they start this new chapter together.
