When the public first heard Lady Gaga on the radio with her first single "Let's Dance," they unanimously agreed she was an incredible talent.
Through the years, Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, has wowed her millions of fans with her provocative outfits during her concerts and on the red carpet, proving she always knows to make a statement.
Although Gaga has toned down her bold fashion choices since she first hit the music scene, the extravagant pop star still knows how to catch the media's attention, and this time it's with her stunning $400,000 engagement ring.
"She's on top of the world and Christian is part of that."
On November 8, Gaga attended the SAG-AFTRA Foundation's 3rd Annual Patron of the Artists Awards, and while the 32-year-old looked gorgeous in her pale pink Christian Dior gown, it was a particular piece of jewelry that caught everyone's attention.
"Lady Gaga's spectacular ring appears to be a 6-7 carat pink sapphire with a diamond halo totaling 3-4 carats. This is likely a high quality, no heat (treatment), pink sapphire," Andrew Brown, President of WP Diamonds, told E! News.
"It looks like it may be a Padparadscha sapphire, in which case this ring would easily retail between $300,000 and $400,000."
Last month, the A Star Is Born actress confirmed her engagement to Christian Carino when she addressed him as "my fiance" in a speech at Elle's 25th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration.
Although the Grammy Award-winner has been wearing her massive pink sparkler on her ring finger for some time, Gaga finally spoke about her love life at the Beverly Hills event.
"You know, I think it's always wonderful to shout love from the rooftops," Gaga told Entertainment Tonight's Nischelle Turner on the red carpet.
Prior to her relationship with Carino, 49, Gaga was engaged to Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney, 37, after they met on the set of her music video for "You and I."
"Gaga seems very happy to be in a more low-key relationship than with Taylor," a source told the celebrity news outlet. "She's on top of the world and Christian is part of that. They kept the engagement private so it wasn't the media storm it was with Taylor."
But while Gaga's huge rock was on everyone's mind at the event, the songstress had an incredibly important message to share in her speech.
"The need in this world for kindness is paralyzing."
In front of a crowd of A-list stars, including Harrison Ford and Rachel Bloom, Gaga began prompting the entertainment industry to facilitate better mental health care for people working in show business.
"We are losing a generation of young people who do not believe that their voices are worth hearing," Gaga explained. "The need in this world for kindness is paralyzing. The negative news and tragedies are nonstop and overwhelming."
Gaga then detailed her own "mental health crisis," which included "symptoms of dissociation and PTSD."
During this time in her life, she explained that she experienced "physical chronic pain, fibromyalgia, panic attacks, acute trauma responses and debilitating mental spirals that included suicidal ideation and masochistic behavior."
"I would see flashes of things I was tormented by, experiences that were filed away in my brain with 'I'll deal with you later' for many years because my brain was protecting me, as science teaches us. These were also symptoms of disassociation and PTSD and I did not have a team that included mental health support."
"I began to notice that I would stare off into space and black out for seconds or minutes," Gaga recalled.
"I needed help," she continued. "I wish there had been a system in place to empower me to say no to toxic work environments and people of questionable behavior."
